1700ºC Twin Bottom Loading Furnace

 

Brief

Design a furnace to 1700°C with 2 independent chambers which were controlled with a single 2 channel controller with automatic loading table which could seal the chamber and allow for the gaseous exchange to take place and be monitored. Programmable controller to allow the chambers to heat at different rates.

Problems to overcome

To reach 1700°C and control each chamber separately but allow the gas to pass from one chamber to the other or be closed off and separately measured. Limited space in the lab and limited power requirements.

The result

A very efficient chamber which can be operated and controlled and monitored via the control panel or Ethernet cables. The rates of rise measured and were very stable and accurate and performed better than the customers expectations.
