Standard and Top Mount Models
Labec manufactures a Spark Proof Refrigerator which provides a chamber for safe storage of volatile material. These are available in our standard models or sizes customizable to meet your needs. The interior of the chambers are spark free and can be controlled within the temperature range of +2°C to +10°C. For hazardous areas zoning, Zone 2 classification requires a fridge or freezer to be located 300mm above floor level (AS/NZ60079.10:2004.) A stand is available for the spark proof chambers to raise the units 300mm to meet these requirements. Alternatively, chose one of our top mount models with the compressor and electronics situated at the top of the freezer, to satisfy AS/NZS60079.10:2004 without the requirement of a stand.

NOTE: Only the interior of the chamber is spark proof. (These chambers are not manufactured to meet the australian Standard for Intrinsically Safe Chambers, if you require this please contact us for specifications for a different chamber).
